Fungiform; cross-section examines the interior of a fungal body through freehand machine embroidery. Thread is used as a drawing tool, tracing the organism’s internal shapes from the inside out, revealing patterns that are usually tiny and overlooked.
The work forms part of Lichenform, an ongoing series that scales up small, often unnoticed organisms to invite a sense of attention and awe. Across the series, thread becomes a way to think about resilience and adaptability - echoing how fungal and lichen forms endure, connect, and remake themselves beneath the surface.

Shipping is not included in the online artwork purchase price.

Artworks currently on exhibition can be collected from the gallery at 45 Flinders Lane, Melbourne VIC 3000 once the exhibition has concluded. Collection is available during gallery hours: Tuesday to Friday, 12–7pm, and Saturday, 12–4pm.
