This self-portrait began as a digital photograph taken on a camera and transformed through image inversion before being translated into paint. By requiring the viewer to use their own device to reveal the image, the work explores the increasingly intertwined relationship between humans and screens. The portrait exists between physical and digital space, questioning how technology mediates perception, self-representation, and the act of looking itself.

Artworks currently on exhibition can be collected from the gallery at 45 Flinders Lane, Melbourne VIC 3000 once the exhibition has concluded. Collection is available during gallery hours: Tuesday to Friday, 12–7pm, and Saturday, 12–4pm.
